WE WILL REPLACE OR REPAIR ANY GRANITE PORTION OF YOUR CHERISHED MEMORIES MEMORIAL SHOULD IT CRACK, BREAK, OR DISINTEGRATE. In the event of a defect in a memorial, a claim must be submitted in writing and mailed to CHERISHED MEMORIES Warranties, Customer Service Dept., Cherished Memories Inc., 15415 International Plaza Drive Ste 120, Houston, TX 77032. This warranty in no way authorizes the party seeking warranty coverage to incur any expense toward repair or replacement costs without prior written consent of Cherished Memories following verification by Cherished Memories of the defect and damage.
In making a claim under this warranty, please include the original order number, name of deceased, name of original purchaser, cemetery name and telephone number, grave location as indicated, contact name and phone number as well as a picture or several pictures of the damage to the memorial.
Cherished Memories further warrants that any replacement or repair of the memorial will be of comparable granite and designed as nearly identical as possible to the original. This warranty does not cover the costs of removal and transport of the memorial for repair or replacement, nor does it cover the reinstallation fees, if any, charged by the cemetery or any other cemetery fees that may be applicable.
Cherished Memories is not responsible under any circumstances for damage done to the memorial resulting from acts of vandalism, theft, environmental or atmospheric conditions, acts of God, war, or the act or omission of any party including the purchaser. It is assumed that reasonable maintenance and cleaning will be performed on this memorial.
Cherished Memories reserves the right to deny any claim, if, after adequate research, it finds that the damage is the result of any above excluded acts or circumstances, and Cherished Memories will provide in writing the reasoning for not covering the claim.
This warranty extends to the original purchaser as well as the purchaser’s heirs or assignees. This warranty provides you with specific legal rights, and you may have other rights under the laws of the state where the memorial is placed.
